StockTap TV Quiet nights
Pub dead on a Monday and the TVs showing nothing?
Every landlord knows that feeling: staff on, lights on, heating on, and four regulars nursing halves. You can't put a band on every night. What you can do is give the people who are in something to do, and a reason to come back and bring a mate. That's what we built StockTap TV for at Teal Farm.
What actually works on a quiet night
Not all of this needs us. Here's what we'd tell any landlord, whatever they buy.
- Give people a reason to stay for one more. A game that's on every 20 minutes does more than a big event once a month.
- Make it a regular thing. Same night, same time, every week. People plan round habits.
- Give them something to come back for. A leaderboard with a weekly prize, like a £20 bar tab, gets people checking where they are.
- Tell the people who were in last week. Your own email list beats hoping they see a post.
- Put the offer where they're looking. A chalkboard by the door gets walked past. The TV gets watched.
We go through more ideas, with sources, in how to get more customers into a pub on quiet nights.
Something on every TV, every 20 minutes
Quick Fire puts five quick questions on every TV every 20 minutes, all day, with nobody hosting. Customers scan the QR and play on their own phones. Weekly and monthly leaderboards, with prizes you set, give them a reason to come back and climb the table.
At Teal Farm, 57 customers played in the first nine days, and 35 joined the pub's email list for offers.

Your offers on every screen, from your phone
Quiet Tuesday? Put a two-for-one on every TV in about a minute, with your own photo and a countdown to when it ends. Every QR code on the screens counts its scans, so you can see what people actually used.

Bingo, raffles and the match-day build-up
Phone bingo at the quiz break, raffle and football card draws on the TVs, and a kick-off countdown with a prize wheel you spin from your phone. Different reasons to be in on different nights, all on the screens you've already got.

What we won't promise
No screen fills a pub on its own. If the beer's warm or the place is cold, fix that first. What StockTap TV does is give the people who come in something to do and a reason to come back, and we'll stand behind that:
Quiet night questions
How do I make my pub busy on a weeknight?
Give people a regular reason to come in and something to do once they're there. A quiz, bingo or a game that runs at the same time every week, a prize worth coming back for, and telling last week's customers about it by email.
Will my staff have to run anything?
Very little. Quick Fire runs itself all day. There's a one-page staff guide for "how do I play?".
What does it cost?
£34 a month for the whole pub. Nothing extra to pay. 14-day free trial. Cancel any time.
