StockTap TV Quiz machine alternative

Thinking of a pub quiz machine? Put the quiz on every TV instead

Everybody loved the old quiz machine. But a cabinet in the corner is one or two people at a time, it takes up a wall, and a second-hand one is a gamble. StockTap TV puts the quiz on every TV in the pub instead. Everyone plays at once on their own phone, and a new round starts every 20 minutes, all day.

No cabinet to buy, nothing to empty. £34 a month for the whole pub. Nothing extra to pay.

Fair's fair: if your regulars want a cash-prize machine they can feed coins into, this isn't that. There's no money in and no money out.

The same buzz, on every screen

Five quick questions a round, with a timer. The fastest right answers score most, and lightning zaps across every TV and phone when a round starts. A golden round once a day is worth double.

Players see their score on their phone and the leaderboard on the TVs, and there's a weekly and monthly winner with a prize you set.

Your town's daily 5

Five questions a day named after your town, one go each, a score card to share and a streak bonus for playing every day. The sort of thing people used to put a pound in the machine for, except now it brings them back tomorrow.

Quiz machine questions

Do I need to buy any hardware?

Usually not. Any screen that can open a web page will do: a smart TV's browser, a TV stick or an old laptop with an HDMI lead.

Do customers pay to play?

No. It's free for them. The pub pays £34 a month for every TV.

Can I give prizes?

Yes. You choose the weekly and monthly prizes, like a bar tab. We use a £20 weekly bar tab at Teal Farm.
