Everything StockTap TV does in about a minute: quiz night, the phone quiz, bingo, offers, clips, match day, football, raffles and shout-outs

Everything in about a minute. Our videos are silent with the words on screen, and filmed on our demo pub, The Red Lion in Anytown, so no real customers are shown.

Everything you get for £34 a month

For the whole pub, however many TVs. No extra for anything on this list.

  • A quiz on every TV every 20 minutes that runs itself. Customers play on their own phones, no app, with weekly and monthly leaderboards and prizes if you want them.
  • Over 6,000 questions included in the all-day phone quiz, so there's nothing to buy or write before your first night.
  • Quiz night from your phone. Every question on every TV, picture rounds full screen, then a big scores reveal.
  • Bingo on their phones, Pop Bingo, a raffle draw, a football card and Beat the Landlord.
  • Football that updates itself. Fixtures, live scores, half-time and full-time screens, the 3pm round-up and league tables.
  • Your offers on every screen, timed by day and hour, with a count of every QR scan so you can see what works.
  • Your own customer email list, opted in properly, so it belongs to your pub.
  • Hundreds of short silent clips between your offers: motorsport, wildlife, cute animals and more.
  • Shout-outs for birthdays and well dones, on every TV straight away.

See it working

A pub TV and a phone, side by side, speeded up. Pick a part or let it play through. Open the full-size demo.

Speeded up

Quiz night at The Red Lion.

Demo: not a real pub. The Red Lion is our made-up demo pub, and every name, team and score here is made up. Speeded up about three times.

What each part shows, in words
  1. Quiz night. The host taps Next question on their phone, the question goes up on every TV, teams answer on their own phones, the host shows the answer and the scores count up on every screen.
  2. Quick Fire. A customer scans the QR on the TV and picks a nickname. Lightning zaps across the TVs and phones as the round starts, then five quick questions with a timer, Correct! +2,192 on the phone, and the weekly leaderboard on the TVs.
  3. Phone bingo. Free to play, just for fun. Numbers and calls go up on every TV, the called numbers flash on each phone ticket to be marked, and when Sarah's line is full the TVs say BINGO! Well done Sarah. No prizes.
  4. Offers. The landlord picks their own photo, types the big words, taps Put it on my TVs, and the offer appears on every TV with a countdown.
  5. Shout-outs. A customer sends Happy 40th Shelley! from their phone. It waits on the landlord's phone until they tap Put it on the TVs, then it goes up on every TV.
  6. Football. The landlord picks their local team. The TVs show today's fixtures with SHOWING HERE, the 3pm round-up a league at a time and a GOAL flash. A demo replay with made-up scores: the live scores feed is launching soon.
  7. Set up a TV. The TV's web browser shows a 6-letter code. The landlord types it into their phone, names the TV Bar, taps Connect and the TV says Connected.

Sound like your pub?

  1. The back of the room can't hear the quiz master

The mic squeals, the question gets read out twice, and table twelve still shouts "what was that?"

  2. The TVs show nothing on quiet nights

Good screens on the wall, doing nothing unless the football's on.

  3. Offers nobody sees

A chalkboard by the door and a poster in the toilets. Then nobody had the Sunday deal.

  4. Paying for several systems

One thing for the quiz, another for bingo, something else for the screens. It adds up.

All of the above? StockTap TV puts the lot on the TVs you've already got, for one price.

What you get

Every feature, with a short video of the real thing. All of it is in the one price, on every TV in the pub.

Quizzes and games

Quiz night on every TV

Run your quiz from your phone and every TV in the pub shows it. Questions, picture rounds big and clear, the answers replayed round by round when you're ready, then the scores counting up to the winners.

The back of the room can finally keep up. Your own host and your own questions, or a quiz from your quiz company.

A hosted quiz on a pub TV: a picture round, the questions, the answers for marking and the final scores

Quick Fire: a free quiz on the TVs all day

Five questions a round, all day long. Customers scan the QR and play on their own phone, no app. Fastest right answers score the most, and there's a golden round once a day for double points.

Weekly and monthly leaderboards, with prizes you set. At Teal Farm it's a £20 bar tab every week and £100 every month. Players can join your pub's email list too, if they tick the box.

Lightning when every round starts

When a Quick Fire round starts, a bolt of lightning zaps across every TV and every phone that's playing. Heads turn to the screen. Same again when the weekly winner is revealed.

One flash, not a disco, so it's easy on the eyes. Not your thing? Turn it off on the dashboard.

Your town's daily 5

Five questions a day, the same for everyone, one go each. Players get a score card to share with their mates and a streak bonus for playing every day.

It's named after your town, so at Teal Farm it's the Washington 5. A reason to think about your pub every single day.

Phone bingo, numbers on every TV

Free to play. Press start and everyone gets a ticket on their phone. The numbers and the calls go up on every TV, and every BINGO is checked there and then. No dabbers, no "hang on, read them back".

Good for the quiz break or a quiet Sunday.

Pop Bingo: music bingo on phones

Pick the crowd and the decades and it makes the artist grids. Teams play on their phones for free, you tap each artist as you play the song, and every line and full house goes up on the TVs. Nothing to print.

You play the songs from your own licensed music service, so your pub's music licences still apply.

Table-top hand-outs

Print the table-top sheets in one tap, like mystery years or chart toppers. Put "your sheet is on the table" up on the TVs while they fill them in, then every answer goes up for marking.

Nobody shouting answers across the pub.

Your screens, every day

Your offers on every TV, from your phone

Got a deal on tonight? Type it, add your own photo or a short video (up to 30 seconds), give it an end time, and it counts down on every screen. About a minute, start to finish.

No more printing posters nobody reads. No photo? It makes a clean text slide in your pub's colours.

Clip channels for when there's no match on

Something worth watching between your offers: silent clips like motorsport and extreme sports.

Every clip is free to show under Creative Commons, and the person who filmed it is credited on screen. Your offers drop in between.

Shout-outs and photos from customers' phones

Birthday in the pub? Customers scan the QR and send a shout-out or a photo. Nothing goes up until you OK it, then it's on every TV.

You can type your own too. "Taxi for Dave."

A customer's birthday shout-out waiting for approval on the landlord's phone, then showing on the TV

Raffle and football card draws

Still drawing raffle tickets out of a pint glass? Type the ticket numbers, tap Draw, and every TV rolls the numbers and lands on the winner.

Football card too: customers pick a team on their phone, you tick who's paid, then draw it on the TVs.

Match days

Match day build-up and spin the wheel

Add the game on your phone and the TVs count down to kick-off, show today's games and which screen each one's on, and list your 3pm kick-offs on a Saturday.

Then spin the prize wheel on the TVs, from your phone.

A kick-off countdown and the Saturday 3pm kick-offs list on a pub TV, and the prize wheel

Football on your screens

Pick your local team and your leagues, tick the games you're showing, and the TVs do the rest: fixtures with SHOWING HERE on yours, the league tables, and the 3pm round-up a league at a time.

Team names only. No badges, no logos, no footage.

Fixtures, live scores and tables update by themselves. The scores in this video are a demo replay. StockTap TV doesn't show the match itself. Your own sports subscription does that.

Setting up

Any TV, set up with a 6-letter code

Open the TV's web browser and it shows a 6-letter code. Type it into your phone and the TV's connected and playing your pub screens.

No long web address to type in with a TV remote.

Works on any screen

A smart TV, a TV stick or an old laptop on an HDMI lead. All fine.

On a laptop, press Go full screen and it keeps the computer awake while it plays. A start-up file for Windows and Mac opens it full screen every morning on its own.

For quiz companies

Your quiz company's quizzes, on every TV

Quiz companies paste their quiz in, check it and save it. It shows up for their pubs only, with their name on the screens, and the pub runs it from their phone.

Built behind a real bar

I run Teal Farm in Washington. Tuesday is quiz night, and for ages the back of the room couldn't hear a thing. The mic squeals, the question gets read out twice, and table twelve still shouts "what was that?"

The rest of the week we've got tellies all round the pub doing nothing much unless the football's on. Good screens, wasted.

So I built this. The questions go up on every TV and people answer on their phones. In between, the screens run a quick quiz every 20 minutes and our own offers. It's been on at Teal Farm since Tuesday 20 October.

It's early days and the numbers are small, but they're real and I'll keep sharing them. I'm not a big tech company. I'm a landlord who got fed up. If it helps us, I reckon it'll help you.

Questions landlords ask

How long does it take to set up?

About 15 minutes. Eight short steps on your phone: your TV, posters, pub details, your first offer, channels, a test round, your staff and your customers. You can skip any step and come back to it. Or we'll do it for you for £100, including your first month. See the set-up guide.

What kit do I need?

Any screen that can open a web page: a smart TV with a web browser, a TV stick, or an old laptop on an HDMI lead. Customers use their own phones, so there's nothing to buy for them.

What internet do I need?

Normal pub broadband is fine. The TVs need Wi-Fi or a network cable. Customers play on their own 4G or 5G if they'd rather. If a TV's in a Wi-Fi black spot, a network cable makes it rock solid, and if the Wi-Fi drops the screen picks up again by itself when it's back.

Do I need a music licence?

StockTap TV plays silent clips and doesn't replace your music licences. Any music your pub plays, including the songs for Pop Bingo, needs your pub's own licences, the same as now. What the music licence covers.

Does it show the football?

It doesn't show the match. Your own sports subscription does that. StockTap TV shows the build-up around it: fixtures with SHOWING HERE on the games you're showing, league tables, the 3pm round-up and a kick-off countdown. Live scores update by themselves.

Do customers need to download an app?

No. They scan the QR code on the TV or the table and play in their phone's web browser. It's free for them.

Is it in my pub's name?

Yes. The TVs and the phone pages show your pub's name, and the customer email list belongs to your pub, not to us.

Can I cancel?

Cancel any time. Nothing is charged until your free trial ends, and the full terms are on our terms page.
