About Shaun
I'm Shaun McManus. I'm the licensee at Teal Farm in Washington, Tyne and Wear, and I've run it since March 2023 with a team of 17.
Behind the bar
I started out at Klute in Durham, then ran pubs around the UK before taking on Teal Farm.
Most of what I build starts with something that annoyed me on a shift. Stocktake night was a clipboard and a guess, so I built StockTap, a stocktaking app that works from a phone behind the bar. Our tellies sat doing nothing unless the football was on and the back of the room couldn't hear the quiz, so I built StockTap TV.
Both were made for my own pub first. If something doesn't work at Teal Farm, it doesn't go out.
